World Trade Center

Last night Shantell and I saw the movie World Trade Center. It has to be one of the best movies of the year. An incredible story of two Port Authority Police Officers who were trapped in Tower One of the WTC. The movie stirred within me every emotion I ever felt on September 11th. Fear, rage, and hope. If you have an opportunity to see this movie – it is a must see. Oliver Stone simply directed a masterpiece. Certain to get some golden statues at the Academy Awards.
Democracy Is The Lesser Evil

Ran across this quote from Winston Churchill which I thought was pretty profound. Having a political science degree and going to school now to get my Master's at seminary, I have always see the United States as the greatest country in the world. There is always a tension between government and religion, but Churchill makes it clear that all forms of government made by man fall short of perfection.
Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.
