Extreme makeover – Blog edition

by on Oct.29, 2004, under General

Well, ladies and gentlemen, it is here (finally) ! We have an all new Benore website, thanks to Ruben for the great design, and the overtime working Kevin for programming it to come alive. We figured the honeymoon stage was over for at least having a family website, and it needed a more stylin', high profilin' look! The comments section will be turned back on soon, so feel free to respond to any blogs you wish to! Have a great weekend!

My Golden Birthday!

by on Oct.29, 2004, under General

Well, I have waited 29 years for a golden birthday, and it has arrived. My dear, sweet mother kept telling me how much fun I would have turning 29 on the 29th, and I know she would celebrate with me if she were still with us. The Lord Jesus gets to celebrate with her instead!

All of my close Seminary friends are helping me celebrate Saturday night by going bowling at this smoke free entertainment complex called Main Event. Our sweet friend, Jen Deibel is pregnant, so her husband, Seth mentioned that it is a smoke free environment. That's a good daddy…..looking out for his little girl (Hannah). Watching Jen bowl could be the entertainment in itself! Lookout – pregnant woman on the alley! The famous granny style bowl will be Jen's specialty Saturday night.

Well, I must retire……teaching third graders sucks all the energy and then some out of me each day!

DC Trip

As some of you know, we have taken a small trip to Washington DC this weekend. I have never been to our nation's capitol and Shantell really wanted us to come experience a weekend in the world's most powerful city. The only major glitch is that we picked the same weekend that the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund are meeting. The DC authorities are on high alert. Needless to say a lot of the major roads through the heart of DC are blocked off. Getting around was … interesting. Tomorrow we tour the White House and the Captiol, so I must get to sleep.
